What is the Ski Sale?
Buy and sell second hand and new snowsports equipment and clothing. To get a sense of the kit you need to join the club and get the most from sessions, visit our Winter Kit List page.
The annual Cairngorm Ski Club Snowsports Equipment Sale offers snowsports fans an excellent opportunity to buy and sell second hand and new ski and snowboard equipment and clothing. Here you can find a wide range of competitively priced equipment to suit all budgets.
Goods can be closely inspected and boots tried for fit, with ski club members and coaches available for advice throughout.
Buyers
Doors open at 3:30pm and a queue develops beforehand. If you are not sure about anything, Ski Club members will be available for advice.

Sellers
Sell second hand and new ski and snowboard equipment and clothing — some try their luck with other outdoor gear too.

Donations
The club accepts donations of ski or snowboard equipment or clothing. Donations are sold with all proceeds going to the club, and if donations do not sell the Club will dispose of them.
Anything priced under the £6 minimum will be accepted as a donation.
Running Order
How the day unfolds, from drop-off to payout.
9:00am – 1:30pm
Seller drop-off
Goods for sale should be dropped in during this window. Items are detailed, listed and tagged, then placed on the sale floor by helpers.
3:30pm – 5:30pm
The sale
Doors open at 3:30pm. Entry is £1 for adults and free for kids. Payment by cash, cheque and now also card.
7:15pm – 8:30pm
Payout & collection
Sellers can pick up their unsold items and collect their money. On arrival you will be given a list of your sold and unsold goods. Unsold items not picked up will be disposed of.
Before you sell — please read
What we can’t accept: skinny skis, boots with obviously heavily worn toe or heel pieces, or skis with broken edges or unrepaired full thickness base damage. Other than these restrictions you can try your hand at selling anything, as long as you pick it up if it doesn’t sell.
Selling more than 80 items? Please contact John, the organiser, in advance at sale@cairngormskiclub.co.uk — otherwise we can’t guarantee to accept all the items on the day.
Can’t make payout? Sellers can choose not to attend and have a bank transfer for the proceeds of sold items instead, provided they are happy to donate any unsold items to Cairngorm Ski Club.
All proceeds from the Cairngorm Ski Club Sale help subsidise our core winter programme, supporting all our young skiers.
